Abstract:

One aspect of the present invention relates to a plastic lens manufacturing method that includes a step for injecting a plastic lens starting material liquid into a cavity within a forming mold and performing a polymerization reaction of the plastic starting material liquid within the cavity, thereby obtaining a lens-shaped molded article. The forming mold has two molds disposed facing each other, of which at least one mold is a flexible resin type, and the cavity is formed by disposing flexible resin gaskets around the periphery of the two molds. One surface of the formed article is convex and the other surface is concave, and the concave surface is formed by transferring the forming surface of the flexible resin mold.
