Abstract:
A plastic lens, an optical molded product, a film or a sheet formed from a polycarbonate resin which comprises a constituent unit (I) represented by the general formula (I): and a constituent unit (II) represented by the general formula (I): wherein the molar percentage of the constituent unit (I) relative to the sum of the constituent units (I) and (II) is 15 to 85 %. The plastic lens, the optical molded product or the like is excellent in physical properties such as transparency, thermal stability and impact resistance, and also exhibits an excellent balance of a refractive index and an Abbe's number and excellent optical characteristics such as an optoelastic constant.
