Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a plastic lens having excellent heat resistance and durability in which the generation of cracks is suppressed even in a high temperature environment or even when mechanical stress is applied, and having excellent surface hardness and scratch resistance. The present invention provides a plastic lens having a plastic lens base material, a hard coat layer formed on at least one surface of the plastic lens base material, and a vapor deposition coating film formed on at least one surface of the hard coat layer, the plastic lens being characterized in that the hard coat layer is a cured product of a curable composition containing polyorganosilsesquioxane, wherein: said polyorganosilsesquioxane has a constituent unit represented by formula (1); a molar ratio between a constituent unit represented by formula (I) and a constituent unit represented by formula (II) is 5 to 500; the ratio of the constituent unit represented by formula (1) and a constituent unit represented by formula (4) with respect to the total amount (100 mol%) of a siloxane constituent unit is 55-100 mol%; and the number average molecular weight is 1,000-50,000, and the molecular weight dispersion (weight average molecular weight/number average molecular weight) is 1.0-4.0.
