Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a plastic lens which has a hard coat layer exhibiting high surface hardness and scratch resistance and in which the generation of interference bands is suppressed. The present invention provides a plastic lens having a plastic lens substrate and a hard coat layer formed on at least one surface of the plastic lens substrate. The plastic lens substrate includes at least one resin selected from the group consisting of polyamide resins, polycarbonate resins, acrylic resins, allyl resins, urethane resins, and thiourethane resins. The hard coat layer is a cured product of a curable composition including the polyorganosilsesquioxane described below, the polyorganosilsesquioxane content in relation to the total solids content (100% by mass) of the curable composition being 80% by mass or higher. The polyorganosilsesquioxane has structural units indicated by formula (1), the molar ratio of the structural units indicated by formula (I) and structural units indicated by formula (II) is 5-500, the proportion of structural units indicated by formula (1) and structural units indicated by formula (4) in relation to the total siloxane structural unit content is 55-100 mol%, the number-average molecular weight of the polyorganosilsesquioxane is 1000-50000, and the degree of dispersion of the molecular weight is 1.0-4.0.
