The platband assembly including a base for fixing to the wall and a removable protective and decorative elastic cover made of plastics; the said cover, enclosing the base with lugs at the edges with trenches for fixing the spuds, located on the inner side of the of the bent-down edges of the cover. 2. Platband according to claim 1, characterized in that that it is provided with a decorative panel of the jamb and a profile for its fixing to the frame; the profile has a notch for one edge of this decorative panel, and the base has a projection with a notch located at one of its edges on the side opposite to the decoration panel of the j amb. 3. Platband according to claim 2 characterized in that that the notches of the profile and the base are U-shaped (flat-topped). 4. Platband according to claim 3, characterized in that that U-shaped (flat- topped) notches of the profile and the base have inclined walls. 5. Platband according to any of the claims 2-4 characterized in that that the decorative panel of the jamb is manufactured of materials selected from the group including: plaster board, polycarbonate, laminated plywood. 6. Platband according to any of the claims 1-4 characterized in that that the base and the cover have flat surfaces at least on the portion of the facial side. 7. Field of the Invention
The invention relates to the field of construction, especially to the products for protection and decoration of door and window platbands where the necessity exists to cover the gaps between the frame (of the door or window) and the wall.
Prior Art
The door frame is known which is manufactured of wooden long-length curtain with the cross-section in the form of the shaped profile with a straight basis and side walls which are perpendicular to the basis; the profile of the curb curtain is thickened on one side, and the curb curtain includes two veneered bars joint vertically and rigidly coupled with each other with nondetachable connection, the profile of one bar is shaped as a triangular elongated in the horizontal direction, and upper corners of the profile of the curb curtain are rounded. The drawbacks of this door frame are complexity of the structure and complexity of installation work due to the necessity of fitting the frame moldings and shaped profile, and nailing the intermediate piece on both sides.
Also the door frame is known made of wood and including door platbands, one of which is installed on one side of the wall and its corbel enters the notch of the door curb, and the other corbel on the other side of the wall enters in the notch of the tailpiece. The curb is provided with a finishing board installed in the notches made on the rare sides of the door curb and the tailpiece; the width of the finishing board is selected according to the wall thickness. The drawbacks of this door curb is complexity of the curb and door platbands production, low structural strength of the same as the corbels (positions6,7 in the drawing) of the platbands are, as a rule, glued, are perpendicular to the flat rare surface and protruded far from the surface and therefore can easily break away in the course of installation works or transportation under action of transverse moments.
Summary of the Invention
The technical task of the invention is creation of the efficient door platband assembly and extending the range of means for door platband assemblies. The technical result providing the solution of the set task lies in simplification of the structure of the platband parts, enhancing functionality for multiple installation in window apertures of diverse shapes, decreasing labor costs of installation work with fittings hidden under the cover (screw nails, self-threaded screws) and simple mounting the cover with the spuds into trenches in the base at the cost of this simplification of the assembly and/or maintenance time can be reduced, and increasing the structural strength of the platband parts due to minimization of stress concentrators, as the projection in the platbands are manufactured as a unit with it and directed along the surfaces, due to this fact, in the course of assembling the cover with the base nor fillets, nor spuds, and lugs cannot break away, as with such configuration transverse moments are practically absent on them. One more advantage is a possibility of easily changing the color of the door platband and the decorative panel, which can be repainted or paste with self- adhesive film.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the door platband assembly includes a base made of plastics for its fixing to the wall and removable protective- decorative elastic cover enveloping the base with lugs, on the edges where trenches for spuds fixing are made; the edges are located on the inner side of bent-down edges of the cover.
Preferably the door platband is provided with decorative panel of the jamb and the profile for its fixing to the frame having a notch for one edge of the said panel, and the base has a rejection and a notch located at one of its edges which is opposite to the lug, and a notch for the opposite edge of the decorative panel of the jamb.
With that, the notches of the profile and the base are U-shaped (flat-topped), in particular case of realization U-shaped (flat-topped) notches of the profile and the base have inclined walls.
Moreover, the decorative panel of the jamb is manufactured of the material selected from the group including: plaster board, polycarbonate, laminated plywood, the base and cover may have flat surfaces at least at the portion of the facial side, and bent-down edges of the cover are shaped as rounded fillets. Detailed Description of the Invention
The platband assembly includes a base 1 for fixing to the wall 2 and removable protective and decoration cover 3 made of plastics with flat surfaces at least on the portion of the facial side.
The base 1 has lugs 4 on the edges, where trenches 5 are provided for fixing spuds 6 located on the inner surfaces of bent-down edges of the cover 3. Spuds 6 and trenches 5 form a lock fixing the cover 3. The spuds 6 and trenches 5 may have various shapes; the drawings of spuds and trenches of the simplified rounded shape.
In the Figs.7,8 the platband has a decorative panel 7 of the jamb and profile 8 for fixing to the frame 9, with the notch 10 for one edge of this decorative panel 7.
The base 1 has a projection 11 with a notch 12 at one of its edges on the side opposite to the slug 4 for the opposite edge of decorative panel 7 of the jamb. The cover 3 and panel 7 may be manufactured in various colors and surface textures or pattern imitating natural wood. The width and thickness of the platband may be fitted according to operation conditions.
Notches 10,12 of the profile 8 and projection 11 of the base 1 are U-shaped (flat-topped).
U-shaped (flat-topped) notches 10,12 of the profile 8 and the base 1 shown in the Fig.8 have inclined walls.
The decorative panel 7 of the jamb are manufactured of the materials selected from the group including plaster board, polycarbonate, laminated plywood. The bent-down edges of the cover 3 are made in the form of rounded fillets (not marked). The base 1 and profile 8 are fixed with threaded components 13,14, or wall plugs (not shown).
Such platband assembly is used as follows.
After the frame 9 of the window or door is installed in the respective wall aperture 2 on both side, the base 1 is installed with threaded components 13 - screw nails or self-threaded screws. At the same time profiles 8 are fixed to the frame 9 (on both sides) with threaded components 14; position of the profiles should provide locating of each walls of U-shaped (flat-topped) notch 10 in the same plane with the respective wall of the notch 12 of the projection 11 of the base 1. Due to this fact the panel 7 is installed with its edges in the notches 10,12; with that, it serves for patching level differences of the wall and window frame, and is fixed in the position allowing to observe the elements 14 of the fittinsg. The cover 3 under light pressing is installed with the spuds 6 into trenches 5; spuds 6 and trenches 5 form a lock fixing the cover 3 in the position concealing the components 13 of the fittings, when the cover 3 is hold on the base 1 due to elastic deformation.
As a result the edges of the wall 2 and the frame 9 are completely covered with protective and decorative elements - cover 3 and panel 7.
The platband assembly in contrast to traditional ones are characterized with that that its structure gives a possibility to conceal completely screw nails or self- threaded screws with which it is fixed.
The important advantage is simplicity of assembling, as in the course of installation work the necessity arises to drill walls and sometimes the opening drilled in the wall is shifted and it becomes impossible to fix the platband properly. The opening can be made in the base of the platband assembly and fix the base and the platband properly, and all the wrong openings would be covered with the cover. One more advantage is an easily removable cover; having removed the cover it is easy to change the color of the platband without removing the base, that is, the cover may be repainted or paste with self-adhesive film.
The claimed platband assembly has a number of advantages - simplicity of assembling, durability of the main parts due to application of plastics, simple manufacturing technology, simple disassembling of the platband without its destruction; a possibility to cover wall plugs, screw nails or self-threaded screws fixing the platband.
