Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a plate cylinder for label printing and a label printing method using the same in which, if an adhesive material layer has comparatively strong adhesive strength, the sticking of a label (1) to a printing plate material (25) caused by the adhesive material can be avoided and printing can be done quickly and with good workability without being constrained by the type of adhesive material layer or label (1). [Solution] A plate cylinder for label printing that is configured so that uneven plate material mounting sections (22) around the peripheral surface of a plate cylinder body (21) are caused to protrude, and that is for printing on a label (1) having label backing material, a layer of adhesive material formed on the back of the label backing material, and mat board temporarily affixed to the rear of the adhesive material layer. The plate cylinder for label printing is characterized by having the plate cylinder body (21) that passes the label (1) between the plate cylinder body (21) and a pressure cylinder (9), and the plate material mounting sections (22) that are disposed on the circumference section (21A) of the plate cylinder body (21) and are made to protrude from the other peripheral surface (21B) of the plate cylinder body (21), and by the fact that it is possible to bond the plate material (25) to the plate material mounting section (22).
