Abstract:
[Problem] To affix artificial teeth securely to denture bases so that displacement does not occur. [Solution] For the plate denture, the root of the artificial tooth (2) is implanted in the molded plastic denture base (4). A through hole (3) into which the plastic of the denture base (4) is made to flow is provided in the root of the artificial tooth (2) and both open ends of the through hole (3) are embedded in the denture base (4). Moreover, the two ends of the through hole (3) of the artificial tooth (2) open onto the surfaces facing the adjacent teeth and an air vent hole (5) connected to the through hole (3) is provided. The opening of the air vent hole (5) is positioned on the lingual surface of the artificial tooth (2) where the lingual surface is exposed from the denture base (4). In the plate denture, the plastic from which the denture base (4) is molded is injected into the through hole (3) and the air vent hole (5) to embed and fix the root of the artificial tooth (2) in the denture base (4).
