Abstract:
Provided is a plate duplex printing apparatus which makes it possible to print information including attachment information for items such as fittings, at precise relative positions on both the front and rear sides of a plate. The plate duplex printing apparatus is provided with a longitudinal-feed conveyor (3), a cross-feed conveyor (5), an inner-side tracking roller group (11), an outer-side tracking roller group (13), a reversing apparatus (9), and a printing apparatus (7). The longitudinal-feed conveyor (3) conveys a steel plate (27) to a printing area (39). The cross-feed conveyor (5) selectively conveys the steel plate (27) between the printing area (39) and a reversing area (55) established at a side section of the printing area (39). The inner-side tracking roller group (11) is disposed at the reversing area (55) side of the printing area (39), is selectively engageable with the steel plate (27), and regulates the position of an edge (141) of the steel plate (27). The outer-side tracking roller group (13) is disposed at a side opposite to the inner-side tracking roller group (11) in the width direction of the printing area (39), and regulates the position of the edge (141) of the steel plate (27). The reversing apparatus (9) is disposed in the reversing area (55) and turns the steel plate (27) over by rotating the steel plate (27) around the edge (141). The printing apparatus (7) prints predetermined information on the steel plate (27) in the printing area (39).
