Abstract:
Provided is a plate-like conductor for a bus bar, which has excellent electroconductivity and strength, and has excellent bending workability; also provided is a bus bar comprising this plate-like conductor. This plate-like conductor for a bus bar uses an Al alloy plate having a plate thickness (T) of 0.5-12 mm, obtained by hot-rolling an Al alloy containing 0.05-2.0 mass% of Fe, 0.05-0.6 mass% of Si, 0.01-0.35 mass% of Cu, with the remainder comprising Al and unavoidable impurities. When rolling is performed at room temperature the electroconductivity is 55-60% IACS, the tensile strength is 170 MPa or greater, the proof strength is 155 MPa or greater, and cracking does not occur in response to 90° bending with the plate thickness (T) as the inside bending radius. In addition, after heat treatment with a holding time of 1000 hours or less at a temperature of 140-160°C, the electroconductivity at room temperature is 55-60% IACS, the tensile strength is 160 MPa or greater, and the proof strength is 145 MPa or greater.
