Abstract:
Provided is a plate thickness control device for rolled material that can increase precision in the thickness of rolled material at the output side of a rolling mill. The thickness control device for rolled material is provided with: a first setting unit for setting a first amount of change for a roll gap on the basis of a first deviation between a measured value and a reference value for the thickness of the rolled material at the input side of the rolling mill; a second setting unit for setting a second amount of change for the roll gap on the basis of a second deviation between an estimated value and a reference value for thickness of the rolled material at the output side of the rolling mill, said estimated value being calculated by the measured value for the thickness of the rolled material and a measured value for speed of the rolled material at the input side of the rolling mill and a measured value for speed of the rolled material at the output side of the rolling mill; a third setting unit for setting a manipulation amount for the roll gap in the rolling mill on the basis of the first amount of change set by the first setting unit and the second amount of change set by the second setting unit; and an adjustment unit for adjusting the gain of the first setting unit on the basis of the results of a comparison of the first deviation at the input side of the rolling mill and the second deviation at the output side of the rolling mill.
