Abstract:
The present invention relates to a plate-type heat exchanger, in particular for a motor vehicle, having first plates (2) and second plates (3) which are stacked one on top of the other in an alternating fashion in a stacking direction (4) and which define a first internal fluid path (8) and a second internal fluid path (9), wherein the first plates (2) each have a closed encircling first periphery (17) at the edge and wherein the second plates (3) each have a closed encircling second periphery (18) at the edge, the second periphery being smaller than a first periphery (17) of said type in the stacking direction (4). A simplified construction is attained if the first peripheries (17) and the second peripheries (18) are, in profile, inclined in each case at the same angle of inclination (α) with respect to the stacking direction (4) and if the peripheries (17, 18) of adjacent plates (2, 3) overlap in the stacking direction (4) and bear areally against one another and are brazed to one another in the respective overlap region (21).
