Abstract:
This invention provides a plated steel plate for a battery can, which can impart
stable and good electric contact to the outer surface of a battery can, can reduce
damage to a plated surface in the preparation of a battery can by draw pressing
and thus can suppress the evolution of gas within the battery. The above construction
can realize a battery and an alkaline dry battery that can realize a stable electric
contact state with instruments and evolves no significant amount of gas. In
a plated steel plate (110) for a battery can having both sides plated mainly with
nickel, one side of the steel plate (111) as the substrate for the plating is a dull
finished face (111a) while the other side is a bright finished face (111b).
