Abstract:
A plated steel sheet for battery container that even when no conductive layer composed mainly of graphite, etc. is disposed on an internal surface of battery container, can provide a battery of excellent discharge characteristics; a battery container utilizing the same; and a battery utilizing the battery container. The battery container is prepared by disposing a metal layer resulting from formation of a dispersion plating layer having a fine carbonaceous matter dispersed in the plating layer, followed by heat treatment, on a side, the side to provide an internal surface of battery container, of a plated steel sheet for battery container; subsequently disposing a silver-containing alloy layer on the metal layer to thereby obtain a plated steel sheet for battery container; and thereafter shaping the obtained plated steel sheet for battery container into a cylindrical form with a bottom.
