Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to novel platinum compositions having a heterocycle ligand and nanoparticles and methods using such compositions, e.g. for treating cancer. The present teachings relate to compositions termed herein "platinum heterocycle" compounds, e.g., platinum compounds that include a phenanthridine moiety. Such compounds are useful, for example, for reducing, disrupting, or inhibiting the growth of a cancer cell or inducing the death of a cancer cell.
