Abstract:
Disclosed is a platinum microparticles production apparatus comprising a linear first electrode, a sheet-like second electrode and an application means. The first electrode comprises at least platinum. The second electrode has a discharge port that is a circular through-hole so arranged as to face the tip of the first electrode. The application means can apply a voltage between the first and second electrodes. The first electrode has an outer diameter of 0.03 to 0.10 mm. The discharge port has an inner diameter of 1.0 to 4.5 mm. The apparatus enables the release of a satisfactory amount of platinum microparticles while preventing the generation of ozone.
