Abstract:
The invention relates to a playback device and a playback method thereof, and relates to the display playback field. The device comprises: a screenshot unit, configured to acquire at least one first frame in a video file; an information processing unit, configured to perform image comparison processing according to the first frame to acquire first comparison information; an acquisition unit, configured to acquire first format information according to the first comparison information; and a playback unit, configured to switch a playback mode to a three-dimensional playback mode for playback when a video format is determined to be a three-dimensional video format according to the first format information, and switch the playback mode to a two-dimensional playback mode for playback when the video format is determined to be a two-dimensional video format according to the first format information. The invention further provides a playback method applicable to the playback device. The invention can quickly recognize video format information and automatically switch a playback mode, resolving a problem of determining a playback mode of an online video file.
