Abstract:
This playing card is configured such that: suits and ranks are printed on one surface of a card base sheet; the rear surface has a rear face design printed thereon; the card base sheet is provided with an intermediate layer that has a black layer, or a layer of a color similar to black, so as be less permeable to visible light; the suits and ranks are printed using a carbon-free ink in order to prevent, at the intermediate layer, the transmission of visible light from the rear surface; the suits and ranks printed with a carbon-free ink are permeable to infrared light, and thus make it hard to discern the suits and ranks from the rear surface when irradiated with both visible light and infrared light. Individual playing cards are cut out of the card base sheet by a cutting machine and make up a single or multiple decks.
