Abstract:
The invention relates to a pair of pliers comprising: a first and a second part (3,5); an articulation (7) that pivotally connects the two parts, said articulation being located between the ends of at least one of the parts; and first and second handle elements (17,19), which are associated with the first and second parts. According to the invention: the first part (3) is rotationally fixed to the first handle element (17); the second part (5) is fixed to the second handle element (19) so that it can pivot; a parallelogram link is provided between the first handle element and the second handle element, allowing the second handle element to be displaced essentially parallel to the first handle element, when the pliers are opened and closed. The invention also relates to an articulation for a pair of pliers (1) comprising two parts, said articulation having a hinge pin (59) and an incised ring (71).
