Abstract:
A plug connector and a socket connector, belonging to the technical domain of connectors. A plug connector (10) comprising: an insulating body (11), said insulating body (11) comprising a base portion (11A) and a tongue plate (11B) extending from same, and at least four projections (111B, 112B, 113B, 114B, 115B) extending from the two side walls respectively of said tongue plate (11B); a first group (12) of plug conductive terminals; a second group (13) of plug conductive terminals; a metal housing (14) fixed upon the insulating body (11), said metal plug housing (14) comprising a plug reinforcing portion (1432) at least fixed upon one projection (111B, 112B, 113B, 114B, 115B), said plug reinforcing portion (1432) extending towards the inside wall of the projection (111B, 112B, 113B, 114B, 115B). Application of the described approach effectively prevents wrong-way plug-ins, thus reducing damage to the connector.
