Abstract:
This plug for a water supply pipe comprises: a cylindrically shaped plug body, one end of which is closed; and a screw part that is provided so as to protrude from the surface of said closed one end of the plug body and that is inserted and screwed into a socket-side screw part. The plug is configured such that: the outer diameter of the plug body is formed larger than the outer diameter of the screw part; a through hole that penetrates from said one end surface of the plug body to the inside of the cylinder of the plug body is formed in said one end surface, which is formed annularly and located around the base part of the screw part with respect to the plug body; the plug comprises a gasket made of an annular elastic member having a predetermined thickness, the gasket being arranged in opposition to said annular, one end surface of the plug body; and a cylindrical gasket-support part is provided around said one end surface of the plug body, the gasket-support part covering the outer periphery of the gasket which is arranged in opposition to said one end surface of the plug body.
