Abstract:
Disclosed is a pluggable optical module wherein an optical fiber for connecting optical components is compactly stored in a housing in which a plurality of optical components are mounted. A pluggable optical module (100) has an optical fiber storing section (3), an optical fiber storing section (4), and a housing (10). The optical fiber storing section (3) is configured such that the optical fiber storing section can store an optical fiber (F1) connected to an optical component (5). The optical fiber storing section (4) is configured such that the optical fiber storing section can store an optical fiber (F2) connected to an optical component (6). The housing (10) is configured such that the housing can store the optical fiber storing section (3) and the optical fiber storing section (4). The pluggable optical module (100) is configured such that the pluggable optical module can be inserted into and removed from an optical communication device, and the outer shape of the pluggable optical module is configured by means of the housing (10).
