Abstract:
A decrease in the efficiency of supply work for veneer processing machines such as equipment for regulating the thickness of veneers (w) and horizontal splicing machines can lead to a decrease in the production efficiency of the processing machines, and can also lead to an increase in labor costs. Disclosed is a plywood production method and device, whereby the front section of a veneer (w) is held in place by top and bottom transfer means where supply work for veneer processing machines such as equipment for regulating the thickness of veneers (w) and horizontal splicing machines is conducted, and the top and bottom of the transfer means are widely formed and said veneers are transferred. The transfer means is provided with: chains (2, 3) at the top and bottom; and a veneer transfer device that is provided to said chains and that has an upper surface and wide tabular flat plates (4) on the top and bottom surfaces.
