Abstract:
A pneumatic booster device (40) provided between a brake pedal (5) and a master cylinder (7) is equipped with a tube-like member (60) provided on the outer peripheral side of an output rod (58). The tube-like member (60) is configured in such a manner that the gap between the outer peripheral side of the tube-like member (60) and the tube section (42B) of a front shell (42) is sealed by a seal member (62), and in such a manner that the gap between the outer peripheral side of the tube-like member (60) and the output rod (58) is sealed by an O-ring (61). The differential pressure between a negative pressure chamber (A) and an atmosphere chamber (C) is applied to a valve body (46) by the tube-like member (60). The tube-like member (60) is formed so that the outer diameter thereof is substantially the same as the outer diameter of the small-diameter tube section (46B) of the valve body (46). One axial side of the tube-like member (60) is in contact with the tube-like protrusion (46D) of the valve body (46), causing the atmospheric pressure to act on the valve body (46). As a result, the differential pressure presses the valve body (46) in the same direction as the direction in which a return spring (63) presses the valve body (46).
