Abstract:
A pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car equipped with a carcass, which is made of a carcass ply comprising radially arranged cords stretching toroidally between a pair of bead sections, and tread rubber which is provided on the outer side of the carcass in the tire radius direction, said pneumatic radial tire being characterized in that: when the internal pressure is set to 250kPa or higher after the tire is mounted on a rim, the ratio (SW/OD) between the cross-sectional width (SW) and outer diameter (OD) of the tire is equal to or smaller than 0.26 if the tire cross-sectional width (SW) is narrower than 165 (mm), and the cross-sectional width (SW) and outer diameter (OD (mm)) of the tire satisfy the relationship of 2.135xSW+282.3≤OD if the tire cross-sectional width (SW) is equal to or greater than 165 (mm); and the tread rubber has a dynamic storage elastic modulus (E') of 6.0-12.0MPa at 30ºC.
