Abstract:
This pneumatic radial tire for a passenger vehicle comprises a carcass composed of plies of radially arranged cord spanning between a pair of bead parts in a toroidal shape. The cross-sectional width SW and outer diameter OD of the tire satisfy a prescribed relational expression. A sound-blocking body is provided to the inner surface of the tire. The sound-blocking body extends continuously between the two tire-width-direction halves having the tire equator surface as a boundary. Each end part of the sound-blocking body is positioned in a tire-radial-direction region from a bead base line, which is a virtual line that is parallel to the tire width direction and passes through a bead base, to tire-radial-direction positions separated from the bead base line by 70% of the tire cross-sectional height SH on the tire-radial-direction outer sides.
