Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic radial tire for use on a passenger vehicle, the tire having a low width and a large diameter, wherein the tire has improved wet performance and rolling resistance performance. This pneumatic radial tire for use on a passenger vehicle is characterized in that, when the tire is assembled on a rim and the internal pressure is 250 kPa or greater: the ratio (SW/OD) between the tire cross-sectional width (SW) and the outside diameter (OD) (mm) is 0.26 or less when the tire cross-sectional width (SW) is less than 165 (mm); the tire cross-sectional width (SW) and the outside diameter (OD) (mm) satisfy the relational expression 2.135 × SW + 282.3 ≤ OD when the tire cross-sectional width (SW) is 165 (mm) or greater; the dynamic storage modulus (E') of the tread rubber at 30ºC is 6.0 to 12.0 MPa; the loss tangent (tanδ) of the tread rubber at 60ºC is 0.05 to 0.15; the dynamic storage modulus (E') of the buttress rubber at 30ºC is 1/2 or less of the dynamic storage modulus (E') of the tread rubber; and the loss tangent (tanδ) of the buttress rubber at 60ºC is 0.1 or less.
