Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic radial tire which is configured to be extremely durable and lightweight without reducing rigidity.
A pneumatic radial tire comprises: a carcass comprising at least one carcass layer and toroidally straddling between a pair of left and right bead cores; a tread section disposed on the outer side of the crown region of the carcass in the radial direction of the tire to form a ground contact section; and a belt comprising at least two belt layers, disposed between the tread section and the crown region of the carcass to form a reinforcement section. Reinforcement materials constituting the belt layers are bundles (6) each comprising two cords arranged as a pair extended side-by-side, and if the diameter of filaments (7) constituting the cords is a (mm), the distance between adjacent bundles (6) is greater by a/4 (mm) or more, as an expected value, than the distance which is represented using the circumscribed circle (8) of the cords.
