In a conventional pneumatic roof gate, because of the construction using a row of anchor bolts and a presser plate to hold the open side of an air bag and a total of three rubber coated fabrics of a mooring plate, the holding tends to be imperfect, and when a door is raised, the mooring plate and air bag act to raise the downstream edge of the presser plate, so that the sealing becomes imperfect and gas leakage tends to occur. If the construction is complicated as by increasing the number of presser plates and bolts to cope with this, there has been a problem that it becomes difficult to effect additional tightening of the anchor bolts. A pneumatic roof gate according to the invention is constructed such that an intermediate presser plate is interposed between the mooring plate and the air bag to ensure uniform distribution of pressing by a single nut and superior perpetuity, while the upstream and downstream edges of the presser plate are projected toward the mooring plate and air bag to cause an anchor bolt, supported at the upstream edge projection, to strongly press the downstream edge projection against the mooring plate and air bag, so as to resist the raising action on the downstream edge. This construction is also superior in the operability for additional tightening of the nut.
