Abstract:

A pneumatic tire comprising an air permeation prevention layer adapted to substantially cover an interior surface of a carcass layer by winding a slit film made of a resin film made mainly of thermoplastic resin around an inner circumferential surface of the tire in a spiral fashion and a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire comprising the steps of winding the slit film around an outer circumferential surface of a tire forming drum continuously in a spiral fashion, laying a carcass layer thereover so as to form a green tire, and vulcanizing the green tire.
