Abstract:

A pneumatic tire having improved noise characteristics and improved resistance to uneven wear. A pneumatic tire (1) is provided with a belt layer (7) consisting of at least one belt ply having belt cords (15) arranged at an angle in the range of 10˚ to 40˚ relative to the tire equator (C). A tread pattern formed on the surface of the tread (2) includes a row (22) of pitches which has, arranged in the tire circumference direction, at least two kinds of pattern forming units (21) having different pitches in the tire circumference direction. In relative comparison, the belt cords (15) are dense inside the pattern forming units (21) arranged with small pitches and are coarse inside the pattern forming units (21) arranged with large pitches.
