Abstract:
The types of sound suppressor are decreased sharply while high sound suppression
performance and high uniformity of tire are ensured, and total cost is reduced
while production efficiency, management efficiency, transportation, storage
efficiency, and the like are enhanced. On the tire side surface (is) of the bore
(i) of tire surrounded by a rim (2) and a pneumatic tire (3), a sound suppressor
(4) composed of a sponge material is provided to extend in the circumferential
direction of the tire. A sound suppressor (4) having the same transverse sectional
profile is used in a group of tires including a minimum volume tire where the cross-sectional
area (S) of the bore of tire on the meridian cross-section has a minimum value (Smin)
and a maximum volume tire having a maximum value (Smax), with the ratio (Smax/Smin)
of the cross-sectional area (S) of the bore falling within the range of 1.00-1.95.
