Abstract:

A pneumatic tire for a two-wheeled motor vehicle, having a spiral belt (26A) where the direction of cords is substantially in a circumferential direction of the tire, and at least one sheet of an angled belt (26B) that is provided in at least outer layer of the spiral belt (26A) and whose cords have an angle with respect to an equatorial face of the tire. On a tread face portion of a tread (22) of the tire, there is provided at least in a tread center region a main groove component with an angle between 0º or less and less than 20º with respect to a circumferential direction. Thus a pneumatic tire for a two-wheeled motor vehicle is provided applicable to the front and the rear wheel. The tire has improved movement capability including turning capability at a corner, grip limit, overall settling of oscillation of a vehicle body, controllability of slip, capability of absorbing unevenness of a road surface, and enhanced maneuverability, which are realized by making full use of excellent characteristics of each belt.
