Abstract:
A pneumatic tire comprises a bead APEX rubber (8) having rubber hardness (Hs1)
of 80-95 and extending radially outward from a bead core (5), a clinch rubber (9)
having rubber hardness Hs2 of 65-85 lower than the rubber hardness Hs1 and forming
the outer side face of a bead portion. A carcass (6) is formed of an inner carcass
ply (6A) where a body portion (11) straddling the bead cores (5, 5) is provided
with a portion (12) being wound up around the bead core (5), and an outer carcass
ply (6B) extending along the outer surface of the body portion (11) and composed
of a body portion (13) which is broken when the radial inner end is clamped between
the body portion (11) and the bead APEX rubber (8). Wind-up height (Lc) of the
wind-up portion (12) from the bead base line (BL) is 60% or less of the cross-sectional
height (L) of tire, and wind-down height (Ld) at the inner end of the body portion
(13) is 60% or less of the height (L1) of the bead APEX rubber (8).
