Disclosed is a pneumatic tire, in which a rubber composition having excellent adhesion to a bead core is used as a bead insulation rubber or a bead cover rubber that covers a bead core, and therefore a bead part has excellent durability. For providing the pneumatic tire, a rubber composition comprising a rubber component, sulfur and a sulfenamide vulcanization promoter represented by general formula (I) is used as a coating rubber (5) which covers each steel wire or the entire body of a steel wire bundle of a bead core composed of the steel wire bundle and is to be embedded in a bead part for the purpose of fixing the pneumatic tire to a limb. [In formula (I), R1 represents a branched alkyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms; R2 represents a linear alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; R3 to R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a linear alkyl or alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a branched alkyl or alkoxy group having 3 to 4 carbon atoms, and may be the same as or different from each other; x represents an integer of 1 or 2; and n represents an integer of 0 or 1.]
