Abstract:
The present invention improves the fatigue durability of an inner liner of a pneumatic tire. This pneumatic tire has a closed cell foam rubber layer between a carcass layer and the inner liner, which comprises a thermoplastic resin or a composition in which an elastomer component has been dispersed in a thermoplastic resin. The pneumatic tire is characterized in that: the average thickness of the foam rubber layer is 0.3 to 4.0 mm; the apparent density of the foam rubber layer is 0.22 to 0.77 g/cm3; and the average diameter of the closed cells of the foam rubber layer is greater than 0.1 mm, and is not more than half of the average thickness of the foam rubber layer.
