Abstract:
The present invention is a pneumatic tire having a sound suppressor made from a sound-suppressing material attached to the tire internal surface in order to reduce cavity resonance, and comprising a tread set in place when rolled at a width TW, wherein the sound suppressor is made from a sound-suppressing material and is at least one continuous ribbon of a width W and a thickness E fixed to the tire internal surface within a range of at least 30% of the radial-direction interior of the tread; the two end parts of the continuous ribbon, a starting end and a terminal end, are disposed so as to be offset from each other in the axial direction; and the continuous ribbon forms a continuous groove together with the tire internal surface, the groove width D of the continuous groove being 20% or more of the width W of the continuous ribbon.
