Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to increase operational stability performance and traction performance relating to the acceleration properties and braking properties on a snowy road surface. A pneumatic tire (10) has: two peripheral-direction primary grooves (14) extending in the peripheral direction of the tire and that are formed at a tread (12) to the inside in the widthwise direction of the tire than the 1/3 position of the ground contact width (W) from the ground contact edge (T) of the tread (12); a central land row (16) formed between the two peripheral-direction primary grooves (14); edge land rows (18) each formed to the outside in the widthwise direction of the tire of the two peripheral-direction primary grooves (14); and primary lug grooves (20) extending in the edge land rows (18) towards the ground contact edge (T) from the peripheral-direction primary grooves (14). No primary groove interconnecting primary lug grooves (20) that are adjacent in the peripheral direction of the tire is formed in the edge land rows (18).
