Abstract:

The present invention provides a pneumatic tire in which a layered body comprising tie rubber and a film having thermoplastic resin as a main component thereof is used as an inner liner layer. The pneumatic tire exhibits excellent durability, and is capable of inhibiting the occurrence of peeling and the formation of cracks in the film and the tie rubber in the vicinity of a splice section of the layered-body sheet, after the tire has started to be used. In this pneumatic tire, edges of a layered-body sheet in the peripheral direction of the tire, said layered-body sheet having layered therein tie rubber and a film having thermoplastic resin as a main component thereof, are overlapped and spliced to form an inner liner layer. This pneumatic tire is obtained using, as the overlapped and spliced layered-body sheet, a layered-body sheet having a configuration in which at least one of the edges in the peripheral direction of the tire comprises edges lines formed from consecutive straight lines in the tire-width direction, said straight lines exhibiting a zig-zag shape having triangular undulations.
