Title:
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/087569
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire which is configured so that the uneven wear of the pneumatic tire is prevented and the pneumatic tire has excellent water discharge performance, on-snow performance, driving stability performance, drive performance, and braking performance. A pneumatic tire has formed in the tread surface thereof: a pair of circumferential grooves which are centered on the equator of the tire; and lateral grooves which continuously extend in the widthwise direction of the tire between the tread ends and a rib-like central land row partitioned by the pair of circumferential grooves. The pneumatic tire is provided with: first intermediate land rows which comprise first intermediate blocks which are partitioned by the lateral grooves, the circumferential grooves, and first longitudinal grooves, the first longitudinal grooves being located further outward widthwise than the circumferential grooves and each circumferentially extending between circumferentially adjacent lateral grooves; and second intermediate land rows which comprise second intermediate blocks which are partitioned by the lateral grooves, the first longitudinal grooves, and second longitudinal grooves, the second longitudinal grooves being located further outward widthwise than the first longitudinal grooves and each circumferentially extending between circumferentially adjacent lateral grooves. The pneumatic tire is characterized in that: the opening on one circumferential side of each of the first longitudinal grooves is disposed so as to be displaced widthwise from the opening on the other circumferential side of another first longitudinal groove which is located on the one circumferential side of the first longitudinal groove; the opening on one circumferential side of each of the second longitudinal grooves is disposed so as to be displaced widthwise from the opening on the other circumferential side of another second longitudinal groove which is located on the one circumferential side of the second longitudinal groove; and the circumferential distance from an end of each of the first intermediate blocks, the end being located on one circumferential side thereof, to an end of another second intermediate block, the end being located on one circumferential side thereof, the another second intermediate block being located adjacent to the outside widthwise of the first intermediate block, is 1/2 or less of the circumferential length of the first intermediate block.
