Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire having a tread (12) comprising a microgroove (30) that has a groove width which is narrower than that of a lug groove (28)and that is disposed at the groove bottom part (28B) of the lug groove (28) which crosses a land section (24) in the tire width direction, wherein excessive concentration of stress on the entirety of a groove bottom surface (30B) of the microgroove (30) and on the longitudinal direction end part of the microgroove (30) is avoided. By making the shape of the groove bottom surface (30B) of the microgroove (30), when viewed in the groove longitudinal direction perpendicular cross section, an arc shape, excessive concentration of stress on the entirety of the groove bottom surface (30B) of the microgroove (30) can be avoided. By using a linking curved surface (35B) to connect a groove lateral surface (16A) of a circumferential direction groove (16) and the groove bottom surface (30B) and a groove lateral surface (30A) in the longitudinal direction end part of the microgroove (30), excessive concentration of stress on the longitudinal direction end part of the microgroove can be avoided.
