Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire such that a stud pin does not readily fall and the stud pin can be easily attached. The pneumatic tire includes a tire tread portion with a plurality of stud pin embedding openings in a tread surface, and a plurality of stud pins embedded in the openings. The openings are provided with a securing portion contacting the full circumference of the stud pins and securing the stud pins. On an inner wall of the securing portion, a convex portion for guiding the nail of a punching device for punching the stud pins into the openings along a depth direction of the openings is extended in the depth direction of the openings. The convex portion deforms in compliance with an outer peripheral surface of the stud pins as the stud pins are embedded in the openings, whereby the entire surface of the convex portion contacts the outer peripheral surface of the stud pins.
