Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire that maintains wet properties and is capable of both a high level of noise reduction for noise caused by circumference-direction main grooves and a high level of steering stability. This pneumatic tire comprises two outer circumference-direction main grooves (31a, 31b) and two inner circumference-direction main grooves (32a, 32b), in a vehicle mount outer half (OH) and a vehicle mount inner half (IH), and has a center land section (43), an outer intermediate land section (41), and an inner intermediate land section (42). The center land section (43) is a rib-shaped land section continuing in the tire circumferential direction. The outer intermediate land section (41) comprises an outer resonator (51) comprising a first auxiliary groove (51a), a first branched groove (51b), and a second branched groove (51c). The inner intermediate land section (42) comprises an inner resonator (52) comprising a second auxiliary groove (52a), a third branched groove (52b), and a fourth branched groove (52c). The pneumatic tire is characterized by the groove capacity of the first auxiliary groove (51a) being less than the groove capacity of the second auxiliary groove (52a) and also by the total groove width of the two outer circumference-direction main grooves (31a, 31b) being less than the total groove width of the two inner circumference-direction main grooves (32a, 32b).
