Abstract:
In order to reduce noise and suppress increase in rolling resistance, without affecting the formation of a carcass line, a pneumatic tire (10) comprises an inner liner (17). The thickness of the inner liner (17) in at least one part of a side section (18) is at least 1.5 mm. When the cross-sectional width (SW) of the tire is less than 165 mm when the tire (10) is mounted on a rim and has an internal pressure of at least 250 kPa, the ratio (SW/OD) between the tire cross-sectional width (SW) and the outer diameter (OD) is no more than 0.26. In addition, when the cross-sectional width (SW) of the tire (10) is at least 165 mm when the tire (10) is mounted on the rim and has an internal pressure of at least 300 kPa, the cross-sectional width (SW) of the tire (10) and the outer diameter (OD) thereof fulfill the relationship OD ≥ 2.135 × SW + 282.3.
