Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire having a mechanical stopper offering high strength of attachment to a tire inner surface even under harsh use conditions and the like in which deformation and compression as a result of the rolling of the tire at relatively high temperature and high speed are repeated for a long time. A pneumatic tire (1) comprises a mechanical stopper (3) configured from two or more stopper constituent members (3a, 3b) and installed on a tire inner surface (2), wherein the two or more stopper constituent members (3a, 3b) of the mechanical stopper (3) are affixed with a resin reinforcement member (7) sandwiched therebetween, the resin reinforcement member including at least one layer of resin film or resin sheet comprising any of: (a) a resin composition comprising resin or a blend of resin and elastomer; (b) a resin composition comprising resin including arranged fibers or a blend of resin and elastomer; and (c) a resin composition comprising resin with short fibers compounded therein or a blend of resin and elastomer.
