Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a pneumatic tire with improved durability. [Solution] In this tire (2), a filler (10) is layered on a clinch (8) on the outside in the axial direction of a carcass (14). A carcass ply (50) of the carcass (14) is folded around a core (44) of a bead (12). A folded portion (50a) of the carcass ply (50) is positioned between the filler (10) and an apex (46). The clinch (8) has a maximum thickness Tcx as measured along the normal to an inner surface in the axial direction of the clinch (8). When the normal for the thickness Tcx is a first reference line L1, the ratio of a thickness Tf1 of the filler (10) as measured along the first reference line L1 to the sum of the thickness Tf1 and the thickness Tcx is 0.1 to 0.6 inclusive. The percentage of the complex modulus of elasticity E*f of the filler (10) to the complex modulus of elasticity E*a of the apex (46) of the bead (12) is 70% to 125% inclusive.
