Abstract:

A pneumatic tire (11) is configured so that a reinforcement layer (52) is constituted by at least one reinforcement ply (53) having, embedded therein, a plurality of steel reinforcement cords (54) tilted relative to the equatorial plane S of the tire. The tilt angle A of the reinforcement cords (54) relative to the equatorial plane S of the tire is set within the range of 40 to 90 degrees, and the compression rigidity F of the reinforcement layer (52) per 50 mm width thereof in the direction parallel to the reinforcement cords (54) is set within the range of 1000 to 2400 N.
