Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire having a partial tie rubber layer selectively disposed in a certain part between a carcass layer and an inner liner layer, wherein tire weight and rolling resistance can be reduced while maintaining maneuvering stability on dry roads. Between a carcass layer 4 and an inner liner layer 9, an inside tie rubber layer 11 and an outside tie rubber layer 12 are selectively disposed in tire-widthwise side areas of a tread section 1 excluding the center area, the tire-equator-side ends of the inside tie rubber layer 11 and the outside tie rubber layer 12 are both disposed within a range of 10-25 mm toward the tire-widthwise inner side from the end of a tire-widthwise outermost side of a belt layer 7, the inside tie rubber layer 11 and the outside tie rubber layer 12 have different rubber thickness, and the rubber thickness t2 of the outside tie rubber layer 12 is 120-200% of the rubber thickness t1 of the inside tie rubber layer 11.
