Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire wherein slits are made in a belt-like noise absorbing material adhering to the inner surface of the tire in order to improve the durability of the belt-like noise absorbing material by attenuating the stress generated in the belt-like noise absorbing material when the tire is rolling, and allow high-speed durability to be improved by facilitating the radiation of heat from the belt-like noise absorbing material. This pneumatic tire is equipped with: a tread 1 extending in the circumferential direction of the tire and formed in an annular shape; a pair of side walls 2 arranged on each side of the tread 1; and a pair of beads 3 arranged on the inside of the side walls 2 in the radial direction of the tire. In the pneumatic tire, a belt-like noise absorbing material 6 adheres to the inner surface of the tread 1 along the circumferential direction of the tire. The pneumatic tire has a plurality of slits 7 in the belt-like noise absorbing material 6. Both ends of each of the slits 7 end at the edges inside the belt-like noise absorbing material 6.
