Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire wherein: sealant rubber compositions are positioned on the cavity side and tire rubber side, said sealant rubber compositions being distinguished in having different sensitivities to temperature; sealant layers are disposed therein that, at a shear rate of 1 s-1 and at 30°C, have a viscosity ŋ1 for the sealant rubber composition on the cavity side and a viscosity ŋ2 for the sealant rubber composition on the tire rubber side, whereby ŋ1 /ŋ2 is at least 1.6. The pneumatic tire has a self-sealing function whereby an effective temporary repair is made in the event of a puncture, while minimizing an increase in weight.
