Abstract:
A pneumatic tire, provided with a plurality of intersecting belts and one or more protective belts provided on the outer side of the intersecting belts with respect to the radial direction of the tire. The width of the widest protective belt, from among the protective belts, is greater than the belt width of any of the intersecting belts. When, in the tire profile of the pneumatic tire, the maximum projection position of the widest protective belt is A, the end position of the widest protective belt is B, the position at which a straight line a passing through the maximum projection position A and extending in the direction of a normal to the tread surface intersects with the tread surface is position A', and the position at which a straight line b passing through the end position B and extending in the direction of a normal to the tread surface intersects with the tread surface is position B', the angle formed between a first straight line that links the maximum projection position A and the end position B and a second straight line that links the position A' and the position B' is 0-15°.
